Bodega

A quick trip to the town of Bodega, a few miles southeast of Bodega Bay off Highway 1, is a must for any Hitchcock fan. The attraction is a bird’s-eye view of the hauntingly familiar Potter School House and St. Teresa’s Church, both immortalized in Hitchcock’s The Birds, filmed here in 1961. The two or three boutiques in downtown Bodega manage to entice a few visitors to park and browse, but most people seem content with a little rubbernecking and finger pointing as they flip U-turns through the tiny town.
