In the south, Edgewood, U.S. 50 at Lake Parkway, Stateline (775/588-3566; www.edgewood-tahoe.com), is home of the Celebrity Golf Championship; Lake Tahoe Golf Course (2500 Emerald Bay Rd., South Lake Tahoe; 530/577-0788; www.laketahoegc.com), also has some good 9-hole municipal courses.
